Connect with your breath, your innate wisdom and your developing baby as you move through modified poses to meet your changing body’s needs. Explore specific pranayama, meditations and visualizations for emotional and mental well-being, through your pregnancy, birth and beyond. The class is also a great opportunity to connect with other mom’s-to-be in a safe and nurturing environment.

postnatal yoga

reclaim your body after birth!

Birth is one of the hardest, most incredible challenges a woman can ever undergo. It’s a challenging journey, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Postnatal Yoga will help you strengthen and connect to your pelvic floor muscles, which become weak during pregnancy and birth.

Every class will focus on toning the rectus abdominus (deep core muscles) that reduce the “mummy tummy” across the mid-section. Diastasis recti, a weakening of the connective tissue between the six pack muscles, is also a common after-effect of pregnancy. Postnatal Yoga classes work with the grouping of muscles to help connect and heal the abdomen.

Each class will have you guided through a specifically targeted 60 minute Hatha Practice focused on postnatal support and wellness.

These classes are open to anyone who has given birth and requires no previous Yoga experience. Whether you are 6 weeks postpartum or 6 years, you are welcome to come share in this space!
